Returning to the Riigikogu, my goal is to contribute towards the sustainable development and progress of our society. My priorities are independent and protected Estonia, economic development, accessibility, sports, and life in Pärnu County; Ukraine and the free democratic world also occupy my thoughts in these times.

Awards: Order of the Estonian Red Cross, 2nd Class 2005.
World and European Champion, two-time Olympic medalist, three-time World Cup winner, Estonian Champion, Champion of the Soviet Union. Estonian Male Athlete of the Year 1990, 1995, 2004; member of the Estonian Sports Team of the Year 2005, 2007, 2008. Thomas Keller Medal 2011.
Honorary Citizen of the City of Pärnu.

Other activities: Pärnu Rowing Club; Pärnu Yacht Club; Pärnu Two Bridges Club; Tallinn and Harjumaa Association of the Hard of Hearing.

Hobbies: economics, politics, sports, photography.
