Today, the European Union Affairs Committee (EUAC) elected Kadri Tali as its Chairman, with Vladimir Arhipov continuing as the Deputy Chairman.
The extraordinary elections of the Chairman and the Deputy Chairman of the EUAC were prompted by the earlier election of Peeter Tali as the Chairman of the National Defence Committee. Peeter Tali will continue as a member of the EUAC. Under the Riigikogu Rules of Procedure and Internal Rules Act, the chairman and deputy chairman of a committee are elected simultaneously.
In addition to both Talis and Arhipov, other members of the Committee are Arvo Aller, Lea Danilson-Järg, Enn Eesmaa, Rain Epler, Tiit Maran, Anti Poolamets, Maido Ruusmann, Aivar Sõerd, Tarmo Tamm, Urve Tiidus, Kristo Enn Vaga, and Luisa Värk.
