The Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee Marko Mihkelson is taking part in the meeting of Foreign Affairs Committees Chairs in Prague today, discussing the security situation in Europe and developments in China.
The Chairs and representatives of think tanks are convening for a long day of discussions on political and economic developments in China, and the impact of these on the European Union and on international relations more broadly. Other topics include the security situation, the continuing war of aggression of Russia in Ukraine, and strengthening readiness and resilience in Europe. They will also discuss artificial intelligence from the standpoint of international law, as well as challenges linked to the use of new defence technologies.
The Chairs of the European Foreign Affairs Committees met in this new cooperation format for the first time in May to exchange information, harmonise positions, and coordinate activities across Europe.
