Submit proposals to members of the Riigikogu, parliamentary groups or committees!<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Riigikogu is waiting for meaningful proposals on issues that are in the competence of the parliament. We are waiting for proposals to amend the laws, but the Riigikogu does not interfere with the work of a local government or a court, because the principle of separation of powers<\/a> is recognised in Estonia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A member of the Riigikogu is the representative of your vote in the parliament. Write to members of the Riigikogu about your ideas or make proposals to them. You can find the contact details of the members of the Riigikogu<\/a> on the web pages of the members of the Riigikogu. Social media<\/a> also provides a good possibility for contacting members of the parliament.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

\n Collective proposal\n <\/h3>\n\n

\n Collective proposal can be used for making proposals to the Riigikogu on how to amend the existing regulations or improve the community life.\n <\/p>\n \n \n <\/a>\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

You can submit proposals about bills also to the lead committee<\/a> of the bill or a parliamentary group<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Most of the bills are initiated by the Government<\/a>, thus it is possible to access many bills even before they reach the Riigikogu. As interfering is the most effective at the earliest stage possible, it is worth keeping an eye on that site.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

If you wish to submit a proposal about a bill, you have to keep in mind the terms for conducting proceedings on the bill. Motions to amend the bill cannot be submitted after the second reading. You can get information about the deadlines from the card of the bill<\/a>, and also read the explanatory memorandums on the content of the bill and the planned amendments, and the opinions on the bill.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n

Join an interest group, political party or some other organisation!<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The best way for changing something is to do it. For example, you can join a non-governmental organisation or a political party that supports your ideals, because unity makes strength.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
