On the motion of the Finance Committee, two Bills were rejected at the first reading at today’s sitting: the Bill on Amendments to the Fiscal Marking of Liquid Fuel Act (705 SE), initiated by the Social Democratic Party Faction; 48 members of the Riigikogu voted in favour of rejection and 42 voted against; and the Bill on Amendments to the Value Added Tax Act (712 SE), initiated by the Estonian Centre Party Faction; 52 members of the Riigikogu voted in favour of rejection and 29 voted against. Thus, both Bills were dropped from the legislative proceeding.
