First of all the Riigikogu concluded the second reading of two Bills:

The Bill on Amendments to Sport Act (832 SE), initiated by the Government of the Republic. The Bill determines beside the competence of the Government of the Republic also the competence of the Minister of Culture in granting sport scholarships;

The Bill on Amendments to § 56 of the Environmental Charges Act (819 SE), initiated by the Estonian People’s Union Faction, Estonian Centre Party Faction and Estonian Reform Party Faction, pursuant to which four members will be appointed by the Riigikogu into the foundation formed for deciding over the use of environmental charges.

The following Bills were withdrawn from legislative proceeding:

On the motion of the Legal Affairs Committee the Bill on Amendments to the Business Code and Law of Property Act (820 SE), initiated by the Res Publica Faction. The result of voting: 46 votes in favour, 28 votes against, 1 abstention.

On the motion of the Legal Affairs Committee the Bill on Amendments to the Code of Criminal Procedure and Victim Support Act (806 SE), initiated by the Res Publica Faction. The result of voting: 46 votes in favour, 29 against.

On the motion of the Legal Affairs Committee the Bill on Amendments to the Participation in Legal Persons in Private Law by the State Act (808 SE), initiated by the Isamaaliit Faction. The result of voting: 45 votes in favour, 23 against.

On the motion of the Finance Committee the Bill on Amendments to the Land Tax Act (811 SE), initiated by the Isamaaliit Faction. The result of voting: 43 votes in favour, 23 against.

On the motion of the Estonian Centre Party Faction the Bill on Amendments to the Basic Schools and Upper Secondary Schools Act (821 SE), initiated by the Isamaaliit Faction. The result of voting: 43 votes in favour, 21 against.
