The Foreign Affairs Committee of the Riigikogu (Parliament of Estonia), which convened today for an extraordinary session, expresses deep concern regarding the situation in Georgia.
The Foreign Affairs Committee condemns the military intervention of Russia in Georgia and calls on Russia to stop immediately all activities directed against Georgian sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The Foreign Affairs Committee calls upon the UN Security Council, European Union and other international organizations to take immediate steps to stop Russian aggression against Georgia and to avoid the escalation of the conflict into neighboring regions.
