The Riigikogu rejected the following 4 Bills at the first reading:

On the motion of the Cultural Affairs Committee the Bill on Amendments to § 27 of the Pre-school Child Care Institutions Act (372 SE), initiated by the Estonian Centre Party Faction, Social Democratic Party Faction and Isamaaliit Faction, was rejected. The results of voting: 50 votes in favour, 30 against. The Bill was withdrawn from legislative proceeding.

On the motion of the Constitutional Committee the Bill on Amendments to the Referendum Act (389 SE), initiated by the Isamaaliit Faction, was rejected. The results of voting: 46 votes in favour, 9 against.  The Bill was withdrawn from legislative proceeding.

On the motion of the Union for the Republic ? Res Publica, the Bill on Amendments to §§ 32¹ and 51 of the Basic Schools and Upper Secondary Schools Act (388 SE), initiated by Members of the Riigikogu Mark Soosaar, Harri Õunapuu, Robert Lepikson, Jaanus Marrandi, Sven Mikser, Peeter Kreitzberg, Liina Tõnisson and Olev Laanjärv, was rejected. The results of voting: 39 votes in favour, 24 against. The Bill was withdrawn from legislative proceeding.

On the motion of the Economic Affairs Committee the Bill on Amendments to § 16 of the Roads Act (374 SE), initiated by the Estonian Centre Party Faction, was rejected. The results of voting: 41 votes in favour, 16 against. The Bill was withdrawn from legislative proceeding.

The deliberation was suspended:

Due to the end of the working hours of the Riigikogu sitting, the first reading of the Bill on Amendments to § 49 of the Income Tax Act (358 SE), initiated by Members of the Riigikogu Jaanus Marrandi, Liina Tõnisson, Harri Õunapuu, Ivari Padar and Tiit Tammsaar, was suspended.  The deliberation will be resumed at tomorrow?s sitting.
