At Question Time ministers answered the questions of the members of the Riigikogu.

 

Minister Paul-Eerik Rummo answered the question of Eiki Nestor about parents? benefits, the question of Tunne Kelam about the public intervention for ensuring the sustainability of population reproduction processes, the question of Andres Taimla about the acession or non-accession to the Charter on Minorities and Regional Languages and the question of Helmer Jõgi about the results of Euroreferendum in the regions with mostly Russian-speaking population.

 

Minister of Internal Affairs Margus Leivo answered the question of Helir-Valdor Seeder about the appointment of county governors to office and the question of Ain Seppik about traffic supervision.

 

Minister of Culture Urmas Paet answered the question of Enn Eesmaa about the financing of cultural assets, the question of Andres Tarand about the financing of the Broadcasting, the question of Trivimi Velliste about the means allocated for the national programme ?Preservation and Development of Places of Worship?, the question of Katrin Saks about the introduction of Estonia in the states of the European Union and the question of Mihhail Stalnuhhin about the restoration of Alexander?s Church in Narva.

The Riigikogu concluded the first reading of the following Bills:

 

The Bill on Amendments to the State Culture Awards and Culture Grants Act (110 SE), initiated by the Government of the Republic. The term for submission of motions to amend to the Cultural Affairs Committee is 22 September, 10.00.

 

The Bill on the Ratification of Amendments to the Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer, made in Beijing in 1999 (79 SE), initiated by the Government of the Republic. The term for submission of motions to amend to the Environment Committee is 1 October, 18.00.

 

The Waste Bill (105 SE), initiated by the Government of the Republic. The term for submission of motions to amend to the Environment Committee is 1 October, 18.00.

 

The Place Names Bill (96 SE), initiated by the Government of the Republic. The term for submission of motions to amend to the Constitutional Committee is 1 October, 18.00.

 

The Bill on the Ratification of the Instrument Amending the Convention for the Establishment of the European Radiocommunications Office and its Annex: Convention for the Establishment of the European Communications Office (101 SE), initiated by the Government of the Republic. The term for submission of motions to amend to the Economic Affairs Committee is 1 October, 18.00.
