The Riigikogu passed with 75 votes in favour the Bailiffs Act Amendment Act (80 SE), initiated by the Legal Affairs Committee. The amendments to the Act are related to regulation already in force and they concern the principles of bailiffs? remuneration. Nobody voted against the Act and nobody abstained.

The Riigikogu rejected with 43 votes in favour the Bill on Amendments to § 231 of the Republic of Estonia Child Protection Act (40 SE), initiated by Members of the Riigikogu Evelyn Sepp and Toivo Tootsen, at the first reading. 26 members of the Riigikogu voted against the rejection, nobody abstained. The motion for rejection was made by the Estonian Reform Party Faction.

On the motion of the Constitutional Committee as leading committee the first reading of the Bill on Amendments to the Constitution of the Republic of Estonia for Changing the Procedure of Election of the President of the Republic (91 SE), initiated by 71 members of the Riigikogu, was concluded. Motions to amend are to be submitted to the leading committee by 17 December, 14.00.

On the motion of the Constitutional Committee as leading committee the first reading of the Bill on Amendments to the Citizenship Act (68 SE), initiated by Members of the Riigikogu Evelyn Sepp, Ain Seppik, Mihhail Stalnuhhin and Vladimir Velman, was concluded. Motions to amend are to be submitted to the leading committee by 30 September, 18.00.

On the motion of the Constitutional Committee as leading committee the first reading of the Bill on Amendments to § 26 of the Members of the Riigikogu Salaries, Pensions and Other Social Guarantees Act (86 SE), initiated by the Estonian Reform Party Faction, Union for the Republic – Res Publica Faction and Estonian People’s Union Faction, was concluded. Motions to amend are to be submitted to the leading committee by 30 September, 14.00.

On the motion of the Constitutional Committee as leading committee the first reading of the Draft Resolution of the Riigikogu On the Formation of the Riigikogu Study Committee for Enhancing the Prevention of HIV/AIDS and Drug Addiction (90 OE), initiated by the Estonian Reform Party Faction, Union for the Republic – Res Publica Faction and Estonian People’s Union Faction, was concluded. Motions to amend are to be submitted to the leading committee by 18 September, 10.00.
