The second reading of the Bill on Amendments to the State Budget Act and the Riigikogu Rules of Procedure and Internal Rules Act (95 SE) was concluded at the first additional sitting of the Riigikogu today. The amendments enable to grant a state guarantee also to an EU Member State or a legal person in which EU Member States have a majority holding. The Bill also grants the Riigikogu the right to oblige the Government to request additional powers or provision of an opinion from the Riigikogu for making decisions relating to a guarantee granted by the Riigikogu. The third reading of the Bill is scheduled for the second additional sitting today at 6.15 p.m.
