Riigikogu extended authority of Nool and Tsahkna, members of Supervisory Board of Environmental Investment Centre
On the motion of the Environment Committee, the Riigikogu extended the authority of Erki Nool and Margus Tsahkna, members of the supervisory board of the foundation established for the use of the proceeds from environmental exploitation paid into the state budget (the foundation Environmental Investment Centre). On the basis of the articles of association of the foundation Environmental Investment Centre, members of the supervisory board are appointed for three years. The authority of members of the Riigikogu Nool and Tsahkna terminated in June this year. 42 members of the Riigikogu voted in favour of the Resolution (826 SE), 28 members voted against and one member abstained. The Resolution enters into force upon signature.
On the motion of the Legal Affairs Committee, the Bill on Amendments to the Employment Contracts Act and the Unemployment Insurance Act (767 SE), initiated by the Social Democratic Party Faction, was rejected at the first reading. 40 members of the Riigikogu voted in favour of the motion of the Committee and 32 members voted against, nobody abstained. Thus, the Bill was dropped from the legislative proceeding.
On the motion of the Constitutional Committee, the Bill on Amendments to § 108 of the Public Service Act (765 SE), initiated by Members of the Riigikogu Kalev Kotkas and Eiki Nestor, was rejected at the first reading. 38 members of the Riigikogu voted in favour of the motion and 21 members voted against, one member abstained. The Bill was dropped from the legislative proceeding.
