At Question Time Prime Minister Juhan Parts, Minister of Social Affairs Marko Pomerants and Minister of Economic Affairs and Communications Andrus Ansip answered the questions of the members of the Riigikogu. 9 items in all were deliberated.

 

The Riigikogu passed the following Act:

 

The Riigikogu passed with 46 votes in favour the Act on the Denunciation of the Convention on Fishing and Conservation of the Living Resources in the Baltic Sea and Belts (441 SE), initiated by the Government of the Republic. The Act denounces the named Convention and thus performs the duty of Estonia that proceeds from the EU Treaty of Accession to withdraw from these fishing organizations, where the European Community takes part in.

 

The Riigikogu concluded the second reading of the following Bills:

 

The Bill on the Implementation of the European Union Council Regulation (EC) No 2157/2001 on the Statute for a European Company (SE) (431 SE), initiated by the Government of the Republic.

 

The Bill on Amendments to the International Military Cooperation Act and to Other Acts (430 SE), initiated by the Government of the Republic.

 

The Earth?s Crust Bill (409 SE), initiated by the Government of the Republic.

 

The Riigikogu suspended the second reading of the following Bill:

 

The Electronic Communications Bill (404 SE), initiated by the Government of the Republic.

 

 

The Riigikogu concluded the first reading of the following Bills:

 

The Bill on the Ratification of the Instruments Amending the Constitution and the Convention of the International Telecommunication Union (446 SE), initiated by the Government of the Republic.

 

The Draft Resolution of the Riigikogu On the Approval of the Report on the Implementation of the State Budget of 2003 (400 OE).

 

The Insurance Activities Bill (442 SE), initiated by the Government of the Republic.

 

The Bill on Amendments to the Fishing Act (471 SE), initiated by the Government of the Republic.

 

The Riigikogu heard the overview of the State Audit Office of the Use and Preservation of State Assets in 2003, submitted by the Auditor General Mihkel Oviir.
