The Riigikogu passed with 62 votes in favour the Vocational Educational Institutions Act, Republic of Estonia Education Act and Private Schools Act Amendment Act (378 SE), initiated by the Government of the Republic. The main purpose of the Act is the implementation of the standard of vocational education. Among other things, the standard of vocational education stipulates general requirements for teachers established to schools. This creates an opportunity to involve more practicians in the provision of education than before. The Act defines the notions of national curricula of professions or specialities and study programmes of schools. The Act also specifies the mechanism for the approval of study programmes of schools.

The Riigikogu concluded the second reading of the Response to  Memorandums and Requests for Explanation Bill (251 SE), initiated by the Government of the Republic.
