The Riigikogu passed with 69 votes in favour the Act on the Termination of the Free Trade Agreement between the Republic of Estonia and the Ukraine, the International Agreement between the Republic of Estonia and the EFTA States and the Free Trade Agreement between the Republic of Estonia and the Republic of Turkey (135 SE), initiated by the Government of the Republic.  The Agreement with the above States will be terminated unilaterally by the day of the accession to the European Union. Nobody voted against the Act and nobody abstained.

On the motion of the Constitutional Committee as leading committee the second reading of the Bill on Amendments to the Citizenship Act (68 SE), initiated by Members of the Riigikogu Evelyn Sepp, Ain Seppik, Mihhail Stalnuhhin and Vladimir Velman, was concluded. The Bill was sent to the third reading.

The Riigikogu passed with 53 votes in favour the Resolution On the Removal of Members of the Council of the Stabilisation Reserve Fund and the Appointment of New Members Thereof (123 OE), initiated by the Finance Committee. Sirje Endre, Rein Järvelill and Jevgeni Tomberg were removed from the Council and Members of the Riigikogu Raivo Järvi, Jaanus Männik and Eiki Nestor were appointed as new members of the Council. Nobody voted against the resolution and nobody abstained.

Due to the end of the working hours of the plenary meeting, the first reading of the Bill on Amendments to § 27 of the Pre-School Child Care Institutions Act (141 SE), initiated by the Estonian Reform Party Faction, Estonian People’s Union Faction and the Union for the Republic ? Res Publica Faction, was adjourned. The deliberation will be resumed tomorrow, at the sitting beginning at 14.00.
