64 members of the parliament voted for the presidential candidate Toomas Hendrik Ilves in the third round of presidential elections in the Riigikogu. 65 deputies received ballot papers and took part in the voting, one ballot paper was not marked.

 

As Toomas Hendrik Ilves did not receive the required two-third majority (68 votes), the National Electoral Committee did not declare him elected. After hearing the Electoral Committee, the President of the Riigikogu will convene the electoral body for the election of the President of the Republic.
