On the motion of the Constitutional Committee as leading committee the first reading of the Draft Resolution On the Formation of the Security Authorities Surveillance Committee of the Riigikogu (41 OE), initiated by the same Committee, was concluded. Motions to amend are to be submitted to the leading committee by 13.00 today and the committee moved to include the named Bill in the agenda on Wednesday, May 7.

On the motion of the Foreign Affairs Committee as leading committee the first reading of the Draft Resolution On the Formation of the European Affairs Committee (39 OE), initiated by the same Committee, was concluded. Motions to amend are to be submitted to the leading committee by 12.00 today and the committee moved to include the second reading of the named Bill in the agenda on Thursday, May 8.

The Riigikogu passed at the first reading by secret ballot with 73 votes in favour the Resolution on the Appointment of Tambet Tampuu to the Office of Justice of the Supreme Court (26 OE), initiated by Chief Justice of the Supreme Court. Nobody voted against the Resolution, one member of the Riigikogu abstained.

The Riigikogu passed at the first reading by secret ballot with 62 votes in favour the Resolution on the Appointment of Indrek Koolmeister to the Office of Justice of the Supreme Court (27 OE), initiated by Chief Justice of the Supreme Court. 18 members of the Riigikogu voted against and one member of the Riigikogu abstained.
