The Riigikogu passed with 49 votes in favour the Resolution of the Riigikogu On Amendments to the Resolution of the Riigikogu On the Appointment of Members of the Supervisory Board of the National Opera (643 OE), submitted by the Cultural Affairs Committee. Member of the Riigikogu Värner Lootsmann, instead of Signe Kivi, was appointed a member of the Supervisory Board of the National Opera.

The Riigikogu concluded the first reading of the following Bills:

The Bill on Amendments to § 59 of the Prosecutor’s Office Act (600 SE), initiated by Members of the Riigikogu Jaak Allik and Arnold Kimber.

The Bill on Amendments to the Institutions of Professional Higher Education Act (646 SE), initiated by the Cultural Affairs Committee.

The Bill on Amendments to the Institutions of Professional Higher Education Act (641 SE), initiated by the Isamaaliit Faction.

The Riigikogu did not pass the Draft Resolution of the Riigikogu On Amendments to the Resolutions of the Riigikogu in connection with the Appointment of a New Member of the Broadcasting Council (642 OE), submitted by the Cultural Affairs Committee. 32 members of the Riigikogu voted in favour of the passage of the Act, 45 were against it. According to the Draft Resolution, instead of Peep Aru, it was decided to appoint Andres Herkel a member of the Broadcasting Council.
