The Riigikogu passed unamended the European Parliament Election Act Amendment Act, refused to be proclaimed by the President of the Republic. 64 deputies voted in favour of the Act, 31 deputies were against, nobody abstained.

The Riigikogu suspended the second reading of the Bill on Amendments to the Constitution of the Republic of Estonia for Changing the Procedure of Election of the President of the Republic (91 SE), initiated by 71 members of the Riigikogu. The term for submission of motions to amend to the Constitutional Committee is 26 March, at 4 p.m.

Due to the end of the working hours the first reading of the Bill on Amendments to § 59 (12) of the Public Transport Act (225 SE), initiated by Members of the Riigikogu Eldar Efendijev, Kaarel Pürg, Mihhail Stalnuhhin and Vladimir Velman, was suspended. The deliberation of the Bill is resumed at tomorrow?s sitting.
