In the election of the Vice-Presidents of the Riigikogu, Chairman of the Estonian Centre Party Faction Vilja Savisaar nominated Jüri Ratas as a candidate for the Vice-President of the Riigikogu. On behalf of the Estonian Reform Party Faction, Paul-Eerik Rummo nominated Keit Pentus as a candidate for the Vice-President of the Riigikogu.
 
100 members of the Riigikogu took part in the secret ballot. 51 members of the Riigikogu voted in favour of Keit Pentus and 49 members of the Riigikogu voted in favour of Jüri Ratas. According to the number of votes received, Keit Pentus was elected the First Vice-President of the Riigikogu and Jüri Ratas was elected the Second Vice-President.
 
On the motion of the Rural Affairs Committee, the second reading of the Bill on Amendments to the Plant Propagation and Plant Variety Rights Act and Other Associated Acts (500 SE), initiated by the Government, was excluded from the agenda for the working week.

The President of the Riigikogu Ene Ergma convened, pursuant to subsection 49 (3) of the Riigikogu Rules of Procedure and Internal Rules Act, on the motion of the Constitutional Committee, the Economic Affairs Committee and the Legal Affairs Committee, an additional sitting of the Riigikogu in the Plenary Hall of the Toompea Castle on 15 June, half an hour after the end of today’s sitting. The agenda includes 12 Bills and Drafts.
