The Riigikogu concluded the second reading of the following Bills:

The Bill on Amendments to the Obligation to Leave and Prohibition on Entry Act and to the Aliens Act Arising Therefrom (324 SE), initiated by the Government of the Republic.

The Bill on Amendments to the Administrative Cooperation Act (353 SE), initiated by the Government of the Republic.

The Riigikogu suspended the second reading of the following Bill:

The Bill on Amendments to the Constitution of the Republic of Estonia for Changing the Procedure of Election of the President of the Republic (91 SE), initiated by 71 members of the Riigikogu. The motion to suspend the second reading of the Bill was made by the Social Democratic Party Faction and the Isamaaliit Faction. The results of voting: 40 votes in favour, 36 against. The motion was supported. The term for submission of motions to amend to the Constitutional Committee is 1 September, 18.00.

The Riigikogu concluded the first reading of the following Bills:

The Bill on Amendments to the Pollution Charge Act (375 SE), initiated by Members of the Riigikogu Vello Tafenau, Henn Pärn, Olav Aarna and Rein Aidma. The term for submission of motions to amend to the Environment Committee is 3 June, 14.00.

The Riigikogu rejected the following Bills at the first reading:

The Bill on Amendments to § 3 of the Restrictions on Acquisition of Immovables Act (310 SE), initiated by Members of the Riigikogu Eldar Efendijev, Kaarel Pürg and Mihhail Stalnuhhin. The motion to reject the Bill was made by the Legal Affairs Committee. The results of voting: 48 votes in favour, 16 against. The Bill was withdrawn from legislative proceeding.

The Bill on Amendments to the Social Tax Act (299 SE), initiated by Members of the Riigikogu Vilja Savisaar, Mark Soosaar, Toomas Varek and Värner Lootsmann. The motion to reject the Bill was made by the Finance Committee. The results of voting: 38 votes in favour, 17 against. The Bill was withdrawn from legislative proceeding.

The Bill on Amendments to the Income Tax Act and to the Income Tax Act, Social Tax Act and Land Tax Act Amendment Act (315 SE), initiated by the Isamaaliit Faction. The motion to reject the Bill was made by the Finance Committee. The results of voting: 35 votes in favour, 17 against. The Bill was withdrawn from legislative proceeding.

Due to the end of the working hours of the sitting, the deliberation of the Bill on Amendments to the Public Procurement Act (345 SE), initiated by the Estonian Reform Party Faction, the Estonian People?s Union Faction and the Union for the Republic ? Res Publica  Faction, was suspended. The deliberation will be resumed on Wednesday.
