The Riigikogu passed with 51 votes in favour the Resolution of the Riigikogu On the Approval of the Estonian National Strategy for Sustainable Development “Sustainable Estonia 21”(619 OE), submitted by the Government of the Republic. The strategy creates the basic framework for harmonious and balanced development of different spheres of the state and determines general long-term development goals and directions of activities. The approval and implementation of the Sustainable Estonia 21 in the international context is necessary for Estonia’s active participation in the formation of international development processes.
