Minister of Economic Affairs and Communications Andrus Ansip replied to the interpellation (No. 114) concerning the continuity of the Government of the Republic, submitted on October 18 by seven members of the Estonian Centre Party Faction. The interpellators asked for information about the calculations which formed the basis for the Energy Market Inspectorate Decision to accept the request of AS Narva Elektrijaamad for the approval of the maximum price of heat.

Mr. Ansip answered that the law does not provide for disclosure of information to local governments to the extent requested for by the interpellators. Hence, the Ministry has no right to request that the Energy Market Inspectorate forwarded the Narva City Council the full text of the calculations submitted for the approval of the price of the heat.

In his reply the Minister stressed: ?If the consumers are not satisfied with the position of the Energy Market Inspectorate, they will have to turn to the administrative court whose duty is to see that laws are implemented.?

During the open microphone Tiit Niilo and Mihhail Stalnuhhin took the floor.
