The Riigikogu concluded the second reading of the Bill on Amendments to the Penal Code (530 SE), initiated by the Government.

 

The Bill specifies the liability for an attack against flight safety and criminalises unlawful use of the identity of another person. Attacks against flight safety where lasers in free use are pointed at aircraft that are landing or taxiing at an aerodrome, and pilots in command of aircraft are thereby blinded are crimes. A punishment is provided for the use of the identity of another person if damage is thereby caused to the rights or interests of the person that are protected by law. Transmission of the data concerning identity and grant of access to the data for the abovementioned purposes is also a crime.
