The Riigikogu passed

The Riigikogu passed with 75 votes in favour the Food Act and Associated Acts Amendment Act (284 SE), initiated by the Government of the Republic. The Act harmonises the corresponding field of regulation with the legal acts of the European Union. Among other things, the provisions which were in contradiction with the principle of free movement of goods, have also been amended.

The Riigikogu passed with 70 votes in favour the Official Statistics Act and Databases Act Amendment Act (255 SE), initiated by the Government of the Republic. The Act makes amendments to the regulation of the production of state statistics: to the provisions concerning collection, processing and dissemination of data.

The Riigikogu suspended

the second reading of the Bill on Amendments to the Aliens Act and to the Other Acts Arising Therefrom (263 SE), initiated by the Government of the Republic. The term for submission of motions to amend to the Constitutional Committee is 12 April, 11.00.

The Riigikogu concluded

the first reading of the Bill on Amendments to the Maritime Safety Act (271 SE), initiated by Members of the Riigikogu Tiit Mae, Vello Tafenau, Jüri Saar, Jaanus Rahumägi and Märt Rask. The term for submission of motions to amend to the Economic Affairs Committee is 15 April, 12.00.

The Riigikogu withdrew from legislative proceeding

on the motion of the Social Affairs Committee the Bill on Amendments to §§ 6 and 23 of the Working and Rest Time Act (241 SE), initiated by the Social Democratic Party Faction.
