As the first item on the agenda, the deliberation of the matter of significant national importance ?The European Union Policy of the Government in 2004-2006? took place in the Riigikogu. Reports were made by Prime Minister Juhan Parts and Chairman of the European Union Affairs Committee Rein Lang; Toomas Hendrik Ilves, Eiki Berg, Tunne-Väldo Kelam, Raivo Järvi, Toomas Alatalu, Urmas Reinsalu and Mihhail Stalnuhhin took the floor.

 

The Riigikogu passed the Resolution On Changing the Membership of the Council for Allocation of Grants from Gambling Tax Revenues, submitted by the Finance Committee. In accordance with the Resolution, Peep Ratas was excluded from the membership of the Council for Allocation of Grants from Gambling Tax Revenues, instead of whom Jaan Kallas, Secretary General of the Ministry of Education and Research, was appointed a new member of the Council.
