The Riigikogu passed
With 73 votes in favour the Fisheries Market Organisation Act Amendment Act (325 SE), initiated by the Government of the Republic. The purpose of the Act is to bring the Fisheries Market Organisation Act into conformity with the legal acts stipulating the Common Fisheries Policy of the European Union.
With 70 votes in favour the Act on Amendments to §§ 5, 21 and 53 of the Health Insurance Act (307 SE), initiated by the Estonian Reform Party Faction, the Estonian People?s Union Faction and the Union for the Republic ? Res Publica Faction. The Act specifies the regulation of insurance cover of the persons who have settled in Estonia to study here and the rights of students, permanent residents, to receive insurance cover benefits.
The Riigikogu concluded the second reading of the following Bills:
The Bill on Amendments to the Veterinary Activities Organisation Act, Animal Protection Act, State Fees Act and the Code of Enforcement Procedure (306 SE), initiated by the Government of the Republic.
The Bill on Amendments to the Local Government Organisation Act (265 SE), initiated by the Environment Committee.
The Bill on Amendments to the Republic of Estonia Employment Contracts Act and to the Resolution on the Implementation of the Republic of Estonia Employment Contracts Act (330 SE), initiated by the Estonian Reform Party Faction and the Estonian People?s Party Faction.
The Bill on Amendments to the Fertilizers Act, State Fees Act and Pollution Charge Act (329 SE), initiated by the Government of the Republic.
The Riigikogu concluded the first reading of the following Bills:
The Bill on Amendments to the Alcohol Act and State Fees Act (328 SE), initiated by the Government of the Republic. The term for submission of motions to amend to the Economic Affairs Committee is 22 April, 11.00.
The Bill on Amendments to § 15 of the Value Added Tax Act (337 SE), initiated by the Estonian Reform Party Faction, Estonian People’s Union Faction and the Union for the Republic ? Res Publica Faction. The term for submission of motions to amend to the Finance Committee is 21 April, 18.00.
