The Riigikogu appointed Valdo Randpere an alternate member of the Supervisory Board of Eesti Pank. 73 members of the Riigikogu voted in favour of the Resolution of the Riigikogu submitted by the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Eesti Pank and one member voted against, nobody abstained.
The first reading of
the Draft Resolution on amendment of the Resolution on formation of the Security Authorities Surveillance Committee of the Riigikogu (
661 OE), was concluded. According to the Draft,
Jüri Tamm is appointed a member of the Security Authorities Surveillance Committee instead of
Kalvi Kõva.
The first reading of
the Bill on Amendments to the Rescue Service Act (
618 SE), initiated by the Government, was concluded. The purpose of the Bill is to specify the procedure for granting the old-age pension of rescue service workers and the benefit of a rescue service worker in expectation of old-age pension, the procedure for calculation of the years of service, and to provide appointment and designation of a rescue service worker to another position at a governmental authority or an international organisation. The Bill was sent to the second reading.
The first reading of
the Bill on Amendments to the Penal Code and the Code of Criminal Procedure (
647 SE), initiated by the Estonian Centre Party Faction, was concluded. The purpose of the Bill is to simplify monitoring of observance of the conditions of the temporary restraining order and the restraining order imposed by a court judgment, by use of electronic surveillance. The Bill is also intended to differentiate punishments for violation of the conditions of the temporary restraining order and the temporary restraining order imposed by a court judgment. The Bill was sent to the second reading.
On the motion of the Finance Committee,
the Bill on Amendments to the Social Tax Act (
621 SE), initiated by the Estonian Centre Party Faction, was rejected at the first reading. 45 members of the Riigikogu voted in favour of the rejection and 30 voted against, nobody abstained. Thus, the Bill was dropped from the legislative proceeding.
