The Riigikogu approved the agenda for this working week. The Bill on Amendments to § 197 of the Defence Forces Service Act (545 SE) will be at the third reading on Tuesday. Then, the Prime Minister Andrus Ansip will give an overview of the situation in research and development activities and the Government’s policy in this sphere.
 
Eight Bills will be at the third reading on Wednesday, including the State Budget of 2010 Bill (587 SE); the Bailiffs Bill (462 SE); the second legislative proceeding of the Act on Amendments to the Defence Forces Service Act and Other Acts (535 UA) which the President of the Republic refused to proclaim; the Aliens Bill (537 SE); the Bill on Amendments to the Aviation Act (563 SE) and the Bill on Amendments to the Estonian Academy of Sciences Act (588 SE). Draft Resolutions on extension of the Defence Forces missions will also be at the second reading.
 
Four Bills will be at the third reading on Thursday: the Bill on Amendments to the Names Act and the State Fees Act (531 SE), the Bill on Amendments to the Explosive Substances Act and the State Fees Act (572 SE), the European Union Services Directive Implementation Bill (603 SE) and the Bill on Amendments to the Food Act and the State Fees Act (608 SE). Then, separation of the basic school and the upper secondary school will be deliberated as a matter of significant national importance.
 
On the motion of the Social Affairs Committee, the agenda of the Wednesday’s sitting of the working week was amended by adding the first reading of the Bill on Amendments to the Health Care Services Organisation Act and the Health Insurance Act (637 SE), initiated by the Government.
