The Board of the Riigikogu will continue in the same composition
At today’s plenary sitting, members of the Riigikogu re-elected Lauri Hussar as President of the Riigikogu. Toomas Kivimägi and Arvo Aller were elected as Vice-Presidents.
100 members of the Riigikogu took part in the secret ballot for the election of the President. 52 members of the Riigikogu voted in favour of Lauri Hussar, and 41 members of the Riigikogu voted in favour of Riina Sikkut. There were seven invalid ballots.
Toomas Uibo nominated Hussar as a candidate for President of the Riigikogu, and Riina Sikkut was nominated by Lauri Läänemets.
Õnne Pillak nominated Toomas Kivimägi as a candidate for Vice-President, and Martin Helme nominated Arvo Aller.
99 members of the Riigikogu took part in the secret ballot. 55 members of the Riigikogu voted in favour of Toomas Kivimägi, and 40 members of the Riigikogu voted in favour of Arvo Aller. There were four invalid ballots. Thus, Toomas Kivimägi was re-elected as the First Vice-President of the Riigikogu, and Arvo Aller was re-elected as the Second Vice-President.
