President of the Riigikogu (Parliament of Estonia) Eiki Nestor expressed his condolences to the families and friends of the victims of the terrorist attack in Stockholm and wished a speedy recovery to the injured.
“When I think of Stockholm, I am overcome by grief and sympathy,” Nestor said. “Dear Swedish friends, we are with you in our thoughts. I offer my deepest condolences to the families and loved ones of the victims, and I wish a speedy recovery to those who were injured.”
“The terrorist attack on one of the main streets of Stockholm is yet another example of the wish of the terrorists to sow confusion and fear among countries and nations,” Nestor said. “The international community can and must stand together against terrorism and extremism.”
On Friday afternoon a truck drove into pedestrians on Drottninggatan in Stockholm, killing at least four and injuring several people.
