At the proposal of President of the Republic Alar Karis, President of the Riigikogu Lauri Hussar has convened an extraordinary session of the Riigikogu (Parliament of Estonia) in the Session Hall of Toompea Castle on 2 September 2026 at 12 noon.

The agenda for the session includes the election of the President of the Republic of Estonia.
