The 13th Riigikogu passed 57 legal acts, including 40 Acts and 17 Resolutions, during the autumn session of 2015.
During the autumn session of the Riigikogu (Parliament of Estonia), which started on 14 September, the parliament held 44 sittings and 11 Question Times. The Riigikogu discussed three matters of significant national importance – the migration policy of Estonia on 13 October, the sovereignty of Estonia on 19 November and the research and development activities in Estonia on 15 December.
During the autumn session, the Riigikogu passed the state budget for 2016, gave the mandate for the use of the Estonian Defence Forces in military and peacekeeping missions and approved the new consolidated text of the Consumer Protection Act and three Acts connected with the work ability reform. Besides that, the Port of Tallinn Investigation Committee started its work and the bill on the ratification of the Estonian-Russian state border treaties passed the first reading.
The spring session of the Riigikogu will begin on 11 January 2016.
