Parliamentary Friendship Group expresses solidarity with the people of Azerbaijan after the Iranian drone attack
The Estonian-Azerbaijan Parliamentary Friendship Group of the Riigikogu (Parliament of Estonia) expresses solidarity with the people of Azerbaijan in connection with the Iranian drone attack on the Nakhchivan region on 5 March.
“All attacks against Azerbaijan are unjustified and will only lead to an escalation of the conflict. Attacks on civilian infrastructure are particularly unacceptable. We express our solidarity with all those affected by the attack in Azerbaijan and support the immediate restoration of peace on the entire territory of Azerbaijan,” the Parliamentary Friendship Group writes in a joint statement.
The Estonia-Azerbaijan Parliamentary Friendship Group is chaired by Maria Jufereva-Skuratovski. Its members are Jaak Aab, Vadim Belobrovtsev, Züleyxa Izmailova, Aleksei Jevgrafov, Ester Karuse, Toomas Kivimägi, Aivar Kokk, Eerik-Niiles Kross, Lauri Laats, Andres Metsoja, Heljo Pikhof, Juku-Kalle Raid, Urmas Reinsalu, and Aivar Sõerd.
