Information about the conferences organised by the Riigikogu, the Parliament of Estonia, during the Estonian Presidency of the Council of the European Union can be found on the web page “parleu2017.ee”.

The web page gives information about the venues, programmes, speakers and background papers of seven events organised by the Riigikogu. The eighth event, the meeting of the Joint Parliamentary Scrutiny Group on Europol’s activities, will be held in Brussels during the second half of 2017, and it will be organised by the Riigikogu in cooperation with the European Parliament. News and videos in Estonian, English and French will be published on the web page.

All inter-parliamentary conferences can be followed online.

In social media, we will share the latest information in Estonian and in English on the Facebook and Twitter accounts of the Riigikogu. The photo galleries of all conferences can be found in Flickr environment. Both the delegates and the journalists can download pictures from there.

All representatives of the media who wish to cover the conferences of the parliamentary dimension of the Estonian Presidency of the Council of the European Union require accreditation, which can be obtained online. Accreditation is required for each conference separately. You will receive your accreditation card upon submission of an identity document (passport, ID card or driving licence) before the beginning of conference at the location of the event.

During the conferences related to the Presidency, the permanent accreditations of the Riigikogu are not valid.

The first conference of the parliamentary dimension (meeting of the Chairpersons of COSAC) will be held on 10 July at the Riigikogu. It will be attended by the chairpersons of the European Union Affairs Committees of the member states and the candidate countries, and a delegation of the European Parliament. The conference will be chaired by Chairman of the European Union Affairs Committee of the Riigikogu Toomas Vitsut.

At the conference, Prime Minister Jüri Ratas will give an overview of the priorities of the Estonian Presidency of the Council of the European Union. After that, the discussion will be devoted to the competitiveness of the European Union, focusing on start-ups. High official of the European Commission Kristin Schreiber, Estonian IT entrepreneur Sten Tamkivi and Ivo Špigel from Croatia have been invited to speak during this discussion.

Accreditation to the meeting of the Chairpersons of COSAC is open until 2 July.
