Chairman of the National Defence Committee of the Riigikogu Mati Raidma and Member of the Committee Marianne Mikko met with NATO’s Deputy Supreme Allied Commander Europe General Sir Adrian Bradshaw on Tuesday morning.

“We were assured that that the political decisions made at the NATO summit in Wales will be carried out without delay,” Mati Raidma said after the meeting. “The establishing of Very High Readiness Joint Task Force as a part of NATO Response Force will essentially contribute to defending Estonia,” Marianne Mikko added after the meeting.

The relations between NATO and the EU, the defence cooperation issues of the Nordic region, the financing of the defence sector in the NATO countries and Russia’s information war were also discussed at the meeting.
