Mihkelson takes part in Munich Security Forum
The Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee Marko Mihkelson takes part in the Munich Security Forum from today until the end of this week.
Mihkelson and his international colleagues who form the United4Ukraine global parliamentarian network created in support of Ukraine will take part in numerous meetings during the forum. Over three days, he will meet the President of Moldova Maia Sandu, the former President of Ukraine and current member of parliament Petro Poroshenko, former US Assistant Secretary of State Karen Donfried, and former US Assistant Secretary of Defense Celeste Wallander.
Mihkelson will also meet the European Union Sanctions Envoy David O’ Sullivan, Deputy Chairman of the Bundestag Foreign Affairs Committee Norbert Röttgen, Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Igor Zhovkva, Founder of the Russian Anti-War Committee Mikhail Khodorkovsky, Founder of the Renew Democracy Initiative Garry Kasparov, expert on Russia Bill Browder, and democratic leader of Belarus Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya.
The high-level Munich Security Forum, which takes place for the 62nd time this year, focuses on European security and defence, as well as the future of transatlantic relations.
