At today’s meeting of President of the Riigikogu Ene Ergma and Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov and the representative delegation accompanying him, Ukraine’s developments in recent years and cooperation opportunities of Estonia and Ukraine, in particular the issues relating to IT-solutions and Euro-integration, were discussed. 

In Prime Minister Azarov’s words, the aim of the visit was to hear about Estonia’s reform experience from the direct source and to find opportunities for further cooperation. Ergma for her part introduced Estonia’s e-solutions that help improve the effectiveness and transparency of governance.
 
“The Estonian state for its part continues to be ready to contribute in the spheres where Estonia can offer useful experience,” noted Ergma.
 
Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee Sven Mikser, Chairman of the European Union Affairs Committee Marko Mihkelson, member of the Social Affairs Committee Tõnis Kõiv and member of the Economic Affairs Committee Olga Sõtnik also took part in the meeting.
 
During the visit, Azarov is going to meet Prime Minister Andrus Ansip. The delegation accompanying Azarov is going to meet representatives of the Estonian Employers’ Confederation and visit the ICT Demo Center.
