As a member of the Riigikogu, I am committed above all to ensuring that state governance in Estonia is exercised with due respect for the Constitution. The Constitution must be regarded as a mandatory standard and not just as an advisory guideline. The ideals of the nation state, national independence, democracy, the rule of law as well as the family must be taken seriously. I consider it particularly important that the respect for the constitutional rights and freedoms of citizens be not disregarded in the exercise of state governance.
