On 26 April, the Riigikogu celebrates its 106th anniversary with the traditional Open House Day. Throughout the day, there will be guided tours of Toompea Castle, you can meet members of the Riigikogu and see the rooms of parliamentary groups, and visit the Tall Hermann Tower. We are looking forward to seeing you!

On 23 April 1919, the first representative body elected by the people – the Constituent Assembly – convened in Estonia. It made many decisions that laid the foundation for our state. We celebrate this day as the birthday of the Riigikogu. This year, the celebrations are dedicated to the Year of the Estonian Book, which marks the 500th anniversary of the publication of the first book in Estonian.
