OSCE Parliamentary Assembly was founded in 1990 on the resolution of the Paris summit.

Estonia joined the OSCE PA on September 21, 1991.

Since 1993, an important part of the work of the OSCE is sending observer delegations to the parliamentary elections of member states to observe whether the elections are carried out in accordance with the law and traditions of democracy. Detailed reports are compiled on the results of the elections.

The Delegation was formed on May 10, 2011.
