The Environment Committee is one of the standing committees of the Riigikogu. The Committee was formed in 1992.

The Environment Committee acts as the leading committee in the deliberation and legislative proceeding of draft legislation, including Bills on the ratification of international agreements, concerning the environmental policy of the state, environmental protection, the use of natural resources and the protection of natural objects.
