At Question Time ministers answered the questions of the members of the Riigikogu.

 

Prime Minister Juhan Parts answered the question of Mart Laar about the amendments to the Government of the Republic Act, the question of Eiki Nestor about the supplementary budget, the question of Andres Herkel about the day of mourning ? the 14th June and the question of Jaanus Marrandi about the pigmeat protection measures.

 

Minister Jaan Õunapuu answered the question of Ain Seppik and Helir-Valdor Seeder about the administrative reform, the question of Mihhail Stalnuhhin about the European Structural Funds, the question of Kaarel Pürg about Kohtla-Järve administrative reform and the question of Mark Soosaar about the future of small islands and their further functioning.

 

The Riigikogu heard the action plan submitted by the Government of the Republic ?Estonian National Road Traffic Safety Programme for the Years 2003-2015? (28 TK). There was a deliberation of the programme at the sitting. In accordance with rules and regulations, the Riigikogu does not pass a resolution in this matter.

 

The Riigikogu concluded the first reading of the following Bills:

 

The Bill on Amendments to the Public Transport Act and State Fees Act (2 SE), initiated by the Government of the Republic. The term for submission of motions to amend to the Economic Affairs Committee is 11 June, 12.00.

 

The Consumer Protection Bill (14 SE), initiated by the Government of the Republic. The term for submission of motions to amend to the Economic Affairs Committee is 11 June, 12.00.

 

The Bill on Amendments to the Government of the Republic Act, Public Service Act, Anti-corruption Act and to the State Public Servants Official Titles and Salary Scale Act (57 SE), initiated by the Government of the Republic Act. The term for submission of motions to amend to the Constitutional Committee is 2 June, 12.00. The motion made by the Isamaaliit and Mõõdukad Faction to reject the Bill at the first reading was not supported. The results of voting: 18 votes in favour, 44 against.

 

The Railways Bill (7 SE), initiated by the Government of the Republic. The term for submission of motions to amend to the Economic Affairs Committee is 11 June, 12.00.

 

The Bill on the Ratification of the Additional Protocol to the Convention on Human Rights and Biomedicine, on Transplantation of Organs and Tissues of Human Origin (56 SE), initiated by the Government of the Republic. The term for submission of motions to amend to the Social Affairs Committee is 2 June, 12.00.

 

The Bill on Amendments to the Feedingstuffs Act (66 SE), initiated by the Government of the Republic. The term for submission of motions to amend to the Rural Affairs Committee is 29 May, 18.00.
