The Riigikogu passed with 71 votes in favour the Resolution of the Riigikogu On the Appointment of Members of the Broadcasting Council (601 OE), submitted by the Cultural Affairs Committee, which provides for the appointment to the Broadcasting Council of the following recognised specialists in the fields relating to the performance of public broadcasting functions: Andres Jõesaar, Andres Root, Hagi ?ein and Silva Tomingas. The nine-member membership of the Council includes also Members of the Riigikogu Jaak Allik, Peep Aru, Peeter Kreitzberg, Katrin Saks and Ela Tomson.

The Riigikogu concluded the second reading of the Bill on Amendments to the Aliens Act (551 SE), initiated by the Government of the Republic.

The Riigikogu concluded the first reading of two Bills: The Bill on Amendments to the Income Tax Act (561 SE), initiated by the Isamaaliit Faction; The Bill on Amendments to § 431 of the Medicinal Products Act (567 SE), initiated by Members of the Riigikogu Marika Tuus and Kaarel Pürg.

The Riigikogu rejected at the first reading the Bill on Amendments to the Constitution of the Republic of Estonia for legalizing the public initiative (562 SE), initiated by Members of the Riigikogu Toomas Varek, Mihhail Stalnuhhin, Toivo Tootsen, Vilja Savisaar, Helle Kalda, Eldar Efendijev, Nelli Privalova, Olev Laanjärv, Arnold Kimber, Enn Eesmaa, Värner Lootsmann, Toomas Alatalu, Heimar Lenk, Kaarel Pürg, Jüri ?ehovtsov, Vladimir Velman, Ain Seppik, Marika Tuus, Küllo Arjakas, Evelyn Sepp and Mailis Reps. 38 members of the Riigikogu voted in favour of the rejection of the Bill from the legislative proceeding and 17 members of the Riigikogu against it.
