On the motion of the Constitutional Committee as leading committee, the Draft Resolution of the Riigikogu On the Formation of the Riigikogu Study Committee to Examine Employment Issues in Ida-Virumaa and Southeast Estonia (168 OE), presented by Members of the Riigikogu Mihhail Stalnuhhin, Eldar Efendijev, Heimar Lenk, Toomas Varek, Kaarel Pürg and Robert Lepikson, was rejected at its first reading with 45 votes in favour. 25 members of the Riigikogu voted against the rejection, nobody abstained. The Bill was withdrawn from legislative proceeding.

On the motion of the Constitutional Committee as leading committee, the first reading of the Draft Resolution of the Riigikogu On Amendments to the Resolution of the Riigikogu on the Formation of the Security Authorities Surveillance Committee of the Riigikogu (240 OE), presented by the Union for the Republic ? Res Publica Faction, was concluded. Motions to amend are to be submitted to the leading committee by 11 February, 14.00.

On the motion of the Economic Affairs Committee as leading committee, the Bill on Amendments to § 15 of the Public Transport Act (203 SE), initiated by the Mõõdukad Faction, was rejected at its first reading with 43 votes in favour. 27 members of the Riigikogu voted against the rejection, nobody abstained. The Bill was withdrawn from legislative proceeding.

On the motion of the Constitutional Committee as leading committee, the first reading of the Bill on Equality between Men and Women (227 SE), initiated by the Government of the Republic, was concluded. Motions to amend are to be submitted to the leading committee by 12 February, 12.00.
