Ene Ergma was re-elected the President of the Riigikogu by secret ballot. Beside her, Laine Randjärv continues as the First Vice-President and Jüri Ratas continues as the Second Vice-President. 

In the election of Vice-Presidents, Chairman of the Estonian Reform Party Faction Jaanus Tamkivi nominated Laine Randjärv as a candidate for Vice-President of the Riigikogu. Chairman of the Estonian Centre Party Faction Kadri Simson nominated Jüri Ratas as a candidate for Vice-President. Chairman of the Social Democratic Party Faction Sven Mikser nominated Eiki Nestor as a candidate. 

100 members of the Riigikogu took part in the secret ballot of the election of Vice-Presidents. 38 members of the Riigikogu voted for Laine Randjärv, 31 members of the Riigikogu voted for Jüri Ratas and 28 members of the Riigikogu voted for Eiki Nestor. Three ballot papers were invalid. According to the number of votes received, Laine Randjärv was elected the First Vice-President of the Riigikogu and Jüri Ratas was elected the Second Vice-President. 

81 members of the Riigikogu voted for Ene Ergma who was elected the President of the Riigikogu. 13 voted against. Six ballot papers were invalid. 

100 members of the Riigikogu took part in the election of the President. 

Deputy Chairman of the Pro Patria and Res Publica Union Faction Andres Jalak nominated Ene Ergma as a candidate.
