On the motion of the Environment Committee as the leading committee, the Bill on Amendments to § 29 of the Waste Act (383 SE), initiated by the Estonian Green Party Faction, which was intended for granting to the Minister of the Environment the right to establish the responsibility of recovery of single publications for producers, was rejected at the first reading. 62 members of the Riigikogu voted in favour of the motion of the Committee and 5 members voted against, one member abstained. Thus, the Bill was withdrawn from the legislative proceeding.
