On the motion of the Cultural Affairs Committee as the leading committee, the Bill on Amendments to § 27 of the Pre-School Child Care Institutions Act (52 SE), initiated by the Estonian Centre Party Faction, was rejected at the first reading. 50 members of the Riigikogu voted in favour of the motion and 34 against it, nobody abstained. The Bill was withdrawn from legislative proceeding.

On the motion of the Estonian Reform Party Faction, the Bill on Amendments to § 27 of the Pre-School Child Care Institutions Act (50 SE), initiated by the Estonian Centre Party Faction, was rejected at the first reading. 48 members of the Riigikogu voted in favour of the motion, 32 against it and 1 member of the Riigikogu abstained. The Bill was withdrawn from legislative proceeding.

On the motion of the Economic Affairs Committee as the leading committee, the Bill on Amendments to § 16 of the Roads Act (24 SE), initiated by the Estonian People’s Union Faction, was rejected at the first reading. 44 members of the Riigikogu voted in favour of the motion of the Committee, 33 against it and 1 member of the Riigikogu abstained. The Bill was withdrawn from legislative proceeding.

On the motion of the Social Affairs Committee as the leading committee, the Bill on Amendments to the Social Benefits for Disabled Persons Act (30 SE), initiated by the Estonian Centre Party Faction, was rejected at the first reading. 39 members of the Riigikogu voted in favour of the Act and 32 against the Act, nobody abstained. The Bill was withdrawn from legislative proceeding.

On the motion of the Environment Committee as leading committee, the Bill on Amendments to the Forest Act (83 SE), initiated by the Estonian Green Party Faction, was rejected at the first reading. 41 members of the Riigikogu voted in favour of the motion and 31 against the Act, nobody abstained. The Bill was withdrawn from legislative proceeding.

Due to the end of the working hours of the sitting, the first reading of the Bill on Amendments to the Environmental Charges Act (83 SE), initiated by the Estonian People’s Union Faction, was adjourned. The deliberation of the Bill will be resumed tomorrow, on 26 September, at the sitting beginning at 2 p.m.
